BALI

Bali is an island province in Indonesia, between Java and Lombok. Shaped by volcanic mountains, rice terraces, temples, and the sea, Bali blends nature, ritual, and daily life.

Stone remembers what people forget

A stone figure and a passing traveler meet for one brief second — one temporary, one ancient.

Beyond the beaches, Bali holds another world — one of temple gates, stone guardians, offerings, holy water, and quiet devotion. I photographed this side of the island from a distance, trying not to disturb it, only to listen.

  the ritual

In Bali, ritual is not separate from daily life. It walks beside traffic, tourists, markets, and heat.

"As the body is cleansed by water, so is the mind purified by truth!"

                                                 -Horace Mann

"I came to photograph Bali not through its beaches, but through its temples, shadows, stone guardians, and the quiet rhythm of ritual. Behind the bright image of the island, there is another Bali — older, slower, and more inward."
